No forgotten support requests anymore

A request stays open until somebody closes it. It is as simple as that.

In a shared mailbox, an email that two people have read looks exactly like an email that has been taken care of. Everybody assumes somebody else answered. Three weeks later a customer asks, a little less politely, whether anyone is there.

Open means open

With OctoDesk, every request is a GitHub issue, and an issue has a state. It is open until a person decides it is done. Your list of open support issues is an honest picture of what still needs an answer, visible to the whole team at any time.

Everybody knows who is on it

Assign the issue and the question “is anyone looking at this?” is answered for good. Hand a request over to a colleague by reassigning it; the entire conversation, including your internal notes, comes along.

Replies reopen the conversation

If a customer answers after you closed the issue, OctoDesk adds their message as a comment and reopens the issue automatically. Late replies land back on your list instead of vanishing into an archive.

Use the notifications you already have

There is no new notification system to configure. GitHub tells you about new requests and replies the same way it tells you about everything else: by email, on the web, or through the mobile app. Watch the repository, or only the labels you care about.
